Welcome to my website!
I’m Beka Tcharbadze, a Tbilisi-born, Berlin-based Game/System Designer, creative technologist and visual artist.
My journey in creative expression has led me to work across a wide spectrum of digital media, including AR, VR, motion capture and other emerging XR technologies, exploring new ways to merge artistic and technical approaches. Alongside my work in design, I have experience as a developer and creative technologist, with a growing focus on ethical AI.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to contribute to a range of scientific projects, worked on experimental visual art, animation, interactive installations, AR/VR experiences, and mobile/video games.
A large part of my research-study and creative work, including projects like Becoming Nature: Wind, Move the Ocean, and Dahshur XR, revolves around the neuroscience of human experience in space - exploring perceptions of body and self in both physical and digital realities; themes of movement, immersion, and embodiment in digital worlds. These XR projects address urgent themes of climate change and sustainability, aiming to inspire a renewed connection between humanity and nature. These narratives frequently appear in interactive installations and XR experiences, I developed in collaboration with diverse artists and performers.
In addition to exploring human experience, my work involves designing systems and methodologies that enable cross-disciplinary collaboration. Particularly in theater, digital opera, and other interactive art forms. These systems help navigate and merge the complexities of combining performance with digital media, ensuring the integration of artistic and technical elements.
Having worked internationally, I’m passionate about experimenting across cultures and perspectives, continuously questioning and expanding what’s possible in virtual worlds - redefining the boundaries between physical and digital dimensions.
