DOCKdigital - AR Residency - Open_Lab (2022-ongoing)

During the pandemic, DOCK 11 founded DOCKdigital, a transcoding LAB and collective exploring the intersection of performance art, dance, and embodied movement with Game/System Design, XR, Sound, and AI. I was fortunate to be part of its beginnings, contributing to its foundation and early development.
In 2022, I co-created and mentored the AR Residency, designed to explore the interplay between body, movement, and digital/physical worlds.
The program hosted 13 performing artists with diverse levels of digital literacy, collaborating with tech artists to produce, research, and develop innovative projects.
It brought together system/game designers, media artists, musicians, sound designers, performing artists, dancers, movement researchers, and choreographers.
Over several months, participants were introduced to a variety of software and tools through workshops and worked with technologies like Magic Leap AR headsets and Rokoko motion capture suits. Through collaborations the residency produced eight diverse art projects, along with extensive research.
Some of the projects - video and audio installations, AR installations and motion-capture performances, and works in progress - were presented during the OPEN_LAB exhibition in December 2022.
